Cannon Hill Swimming

Cannon Hill Swimming is a community-focused swim club with deep roots in Cannon Hill, Brisbane, founded by Roy and Judy Holland in 1961. Initially starting with a modest 20-metre training pool at their home, the club quickly expanded when Father Kelly opened a 25-metre pool in 1962, which became the club's main hub. Renamed the Cannon Hill Amateur Swimming Club in 1973, it has since evolved into a supportive environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.

Under the stewardship of Roy, a pioneer in swim training, the club has successfully taught thousands of children to swim. Today, under the leadership of Roy's daughter Cathy, Cannon Hill Swimming offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a newly renovated pool, electronic timing systems, and a BBQ area for community events. The club proudly fosters a culture of camaraderie and excellence, welcoming all to join the "Mighty Dolphins.
