Canoe Creek Stables

Canoe Creek Stables is a family-owned equine facility in Springville, Alabama, dedicated to helping people heal and grow through meaningful experiences with horses. Its services include recreational riding lessons for ages four and up, horse training, birthday parties, and petting zoos. The stable’s central focus is therapeutic riding and adaptive horsemanship, with certified instructors tailoring mounted and unmounted activities to support the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being of people with disabilities. Participants may also develop skills such as balance, coordination, endurance, communication, and attention.

Canoe Creek Stables is home to Light of the World Adaptive Horsemanship, a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to help others heal and grow through horses. The organization invites supporters to sponsor therapy horses, helping fund experiences for children with disabilities, veterans, and other participants. For celebrations, the stable offers an indoor riding arena and a climate-controlled party room, with amenities including Wi-Fi and a sound system.
