I primi riconoscimenti ufficiali dell’attività vitivinicola della famiglia Sgarzi risalgono al 1933 quando il nonno dell'attuale titolare, Luigi Sgarzi, aveva una piccola cantina che serviva, con botti e cavalli, le celebri osterie bolognesi. Alle Cantine Sgarzi da sempre si é cercato di valorizzare la genuinità, la continuità produttiva e la cultura del vino, nel rispetto della tradizione, non solo per promuovere il prodotto delle proprie vigne, bensì con l’intuizione vincente di distribuire nel mondo i migliori vini del nostro Paese. É così che gradualmente, accanto alla produzione locale, si é sviluppata un’attività di esportazione che attualmente ha raggiunto una dimensione importante, con una rete di vendita in più di 80 paesi. L'attuale gamma dei prodotti, sia sfusi che condizionati, spazia dai vini DOCG , DOC, IGT e biologici prodotti in diverse regioni italiane e si completa con mosti, mosti concentrati, mosti concentrati rettificati, succhi d'uva e succhi d'uva concentrati, vini aromatizzati. The family Sgarzi has been growing vines and producing wines for many generations in Castel San Pietro Terme, a city located on the “Wine Route” a gastronomical itinerary, among plain and hill, at the point where Emilia becomes Romagna, a region where the vine has been cultivated from the most ancient times. The first recognitions date back to 1933, when the current owner's grandfather, Luigi Sgarzi, had a small winery and delivered wines to the famous inns of Bologna, in oak barrels on horses carriages. From those early time, Cantine Sgarzi Luigi has always considered the genuineness as the most important goal and it has continued to invest in the estate and in the winery by combining traditional viniculture with modern technologies, not only to promote the product of its own vineyards, but also with the winning insight to deliver the best Italian wines in the world. Year by year, Cantine Sgarzi Luigi has developed an important export volume till to evolve into a sizable company who presently sells in more than 80 countries. The strict selection of the very best suppliers in every Italian region has enabled us to rise the offer of our products in bulk and in bottled form which now includes D.O.C.G, D.O.C. and I.G.T. wines, organic wines, grape musts, concentrated and rectified grape musts, grape juices and concentrated grape juices, aromatized wines and wine-based beverages.
