Cantinho da Abadia is a social development association and IPSS based in Lijó, in the municipality of Barcelos, Portugal. It was established to address social needs in Lijó and nearby parishes, with a particular focus on older people and children. Its mission is to support sustainable economic and social development by strengthening community inclusion and capacity, supporting families and parents, and assisting older adults and people with disabilities.

The association currently operates a recreational centre for older people, designed to encourage social participation, personal development and connection with the wider community. Its activity programme is tailored to participants and supports their social, physical, motor and cognitive abilities. Promoting individual and collective well-being, along with positive social interaction, is central to its work.

Cantinho da Abadia also identifies a day centre, home support services and a crèche as part of its social care objectives; it currently aims to develop its recreational centre into a day centre. The association publishes annual accounts and welcomes enquiries from community members.
