Canton Network

Canton Network is a privacy-enabled public blockchain designed for regulated financial markets. It connects financial institutions, applications, and infrastructure that have traditionally operated in separate systems, enabling assets and data to move between them while preserving privacy and participant control. Its smart contract technology supports real-time synchronization across connected applications, combining public-network interoperability with controls suited to financial services.

The network serves organizations seeking to create and use tokenized assets and privacy-enabled applications. Its use cases include crypto derivatives, 24/7 on-chain financing, and private stablecoin payments. Participants can connect through validators, tokenize assets, link wallets or custody services, and build applications. They can also run infrastructure and services that contribute to the network.

Canton’s Global Synchronizer is its decentralized interoperability backbone. The Canton Foundation supports transparent governance and organizational neutrality as the network evolves. Canton provides developer resources, pilot reports, documentation, implementation guidance, and access to an ecosystem of institutions and applications.
