to Canyon Rim Outfitters

Canyon Rim Outfitters is a family-owned and operated Colorado hunting outfitter specializing exclusively in fully guided mountain lion and bobcat hunts. Owned by Scott Summers, the business is registered, insured and bonded, and holds Colorado Outfitters License #1991. Its hunting areas span elevations from 5,600 to 11,000 feet across public lands under special permits and private land leases, with terrain that includes oak brush, aspen groves, timber, canyons and meadows.

The outfitter provides guided hunts supported by a trained pack of Plott hounds, as well as ATVs equipped with track systems and four-wheel-drive trucks. Canyon Rim emphasizes experienced hounds, reliable equipment and the demanding work involved in pursuing lions in rugged western Colorado conditions. Mountain lion licenses are available over the counter upon arrival, though hunters must first complete the Colorado Division of Wildlife’s online Mountain Lion Identification Course. The website offers information about hunts, hounds, a photo gallery, frequently asked questions and testimonials, and invites prospective clients to inquire or book by phone, text or email.
