CapeWildlifeCenter

Cape Wildlife Center is a brand committed to wildlife care, education, and community engagement. As a program of the New England Wildlife Centers, their 5-acre facility in Barnstable, MA serves as the Cape Cod branch of the organization. With a focus on providing free wildlife veterinary care and care-based education, their mission is to connect people with animals and the natural world, highlighting the impact individuals can have on themselves, the environment, and all living things.

Through their programs and services, Cape Wildlife Center emphasizes the vital role animals play in the natural world, the ecology of the community, and personal well-being. They believe in the power of kinesthetic learning, enabling people of all ages and backgrounds to actively contribute to a healthy ecosystem. From treating numerous animal species to reaching students and driven by a dedicated team led by Executive Director Zak Mertz, Cape Wildlife Center stands as an inspiring force for environmental awareness and preservation.
