Capital Humane Society is a brand that serves and unites the Lincoln, NE community by providing resources and support for pet owners, caring for displaced animals, and connecting homeless pets with loving families through adoption. As human advocates for animals, they believe in the importance of the connection, companionship, and love that comes with pet ownership. With a commitment to open dialogue and transparency, Capital Humane Society values communication and fosters connection by sharing information, expectations, and successes.

Through judgment-free access to care and resources, they show compassion and work to alleviate distress for both animals and people. They prioritize teamwork, taking initiative and helping where needed, while being considerate of others. Capital Humane Society's long history began in 1902 as the Lancaster County Humane Society, and has since evolved to include services such as low-cost spay/neuter programs and animal training classes.

They have two locations, the Admissions & Assessment Center on Park Boulevard and the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center on S. 70th Street, where they handle adoptions and humane education. By sheltering homeless pets, advocating for animal welfare, and educating the public, Capital Humane Society is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of animals in the community
