About Capital Region Land Conservancy
Capital Region Land Conservancy (CRLC) is a unique brand that is dedicated to conserving land and protecting the natural beauty of the region. With a focus on the Counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, and Powhatan, as well as the Town of Ashland and City of Richmond, CRLC has successfully protected over 12,000 acres of land and 44 miles of stream and river frontage since 2005. CRLC's mission is to safeguard the land that you love, ensuring that it remains protected for future generations to enjoy.
They achieve this through various methods, including acquiring land, conservation easements, and donations. They also offer opportunities for individuals to get involved through volunteering, supporting their work, and participating in conservation games. As a result of their efforts, CRLC has acquired key properties like the Malvern Hill Farm, which was saved from development, and the Varina LandLab conservation area, offering miles of trails and habitat protection.
CRLC's commitment to land preservation makes them a vital organization in the region, working tirelessly to maintain the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the Capital Region
