Capital Solutions is a Social Enterprise that was established in Uganda in 2008. Although they began operating in 2014, their story can be traced back to an MBA thesis that was inspired by the economic depression faced by NGOs, leading to their closure or downsizing due to limited access to grants. Recognizing the increased pressure on NGOs in Uganda and Africa, Capital Solutions was founded with the aim of providing alternative funding models to deliver social good.

With a focus on low-income communities in Africa, Capital Solutions offers a range of high-quality services to build sustainable social enterprises. They specialize in working with and transforming women-led and youth-led social enterprises, providing entrepreneurial skills, advisory services, and access to finance. By taking a 360-degree approach, they create a platform for social entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions for pressing social needs in areas such as economics, agriculture, and health.

One of their notable initiatives is the Social Investment Fund (SIF), which supports small and medium social entrepreneurs in Africa. This fund, combined with entrepreneurial capacity building, has proven to be effective in creating thriving enterprises that serve vulnerable populations.
