Capitello Wines is an Oregon family winery with New Zealand roots, offering a wide range of artisan wines from both hemispheres. Founded by co-owner and winemaker Ray Walsh, who has a background in enology, Capitello Wines crafts high-quality reds, whites, and sparkling wines. Ray Walsh's journey into winemaking began during his travels through Europe in the late 1980s when he worked a harvest in Germany's Mosel region.

Inspired by the beauty of the vineyards and the art of winemaking, he returned to New Zealand to complete his studies in fermentation science and gained valuable experience working with renowned wineries like Kim Crawford and Villa Maria Estate. Eager to explore Oregon's terroir and its reputation for exceptional Pinot Noir, Ray joined King Estate Winery in 1993. After a successful decade there, he decided to establish his own brand, Capitello Wines, in 2003.

Today, Capitello Wines is celebrating its 10th anniversary, with a focus on crafting expressive wines that reflect the distinctive terroir of both Oregon and New Zealand.
