Capoeira Tucson

Capoeira Tucson is the vibrant home of Capoeira Mandinga Tucson and the Capoeira Institute Southwest, dedicated to promoting the rich culture of Afro-Brazilian arts. Under the guidance of Mestra Luar do Sertão, this community-focused non-profit organization offers engaging capoeira classes for individuals of all ages—tykes, kids, teens, and adults—ensuring a welcoming environment that encourages physical strength, flexibility, and confidence.

They host a variety of activities, including a unique camp for youth and exciting events like the annual Batizado, featuring renowned instructors and cultural workshops. Capoeira Tucson also strives to provide opportunities for underprivileged youth through outreach programs.

Visitors are encouraged to experience a complimentary trial class and are invited to participate in community events, fostering a sense of togetherness. With a commitment to both tradition and diversity, Capoeira Tucson serves as a cultural hub, offering not just classes but also birthday parties, performances, and team-building workshops—making it a lively cornerstone of the Tucson community.
