Caponnetto Hueber SL

Caponnetto Hueber is a naval engineering firm focused on improving vessel performance through advanced hydrodynamics, computational simulation, precision design and testing. The company works with shipyards, yacht brands, racing teams, shipping businesses and the defense sector, serving applications from competitive sailing to autonomous vessels and sustainable maritime transport.

Its services span computational fluid dynamics, including CFD, FEM and fluid-structure interaction; naval architecture and efficient vessel design; performance prediction and dynamic simulation; and engineering, prototyping and validation. Using methods ranging from RANS to LES and DNS, the team evaluates fluid behavior, vessel stability, control, power requirements and operating efficiency. It also develops and assesses custom foils, wind-propulsion technologies and autonomous surface vessels.

Caponnetto Hueber draws on experience in America’s Cup projects to bring racing innovation to wider maritime applications. Its work includes supporting fuel-saving assessments, voyage optimization and the development of test-ready concepts in collaboration with shipyards and suppliers. Through applied research and high-fidelity modelling, the firm aims to reduce development risk and deliver measurable gains in speed, control and efficiency.
