CaptaineJ

CaptaineJ is a professional sea-fishing guide based in Bayonne, offering sport-fishing trips along the Basque Coast and into the Bay of Biscay. Led by Jérémy Aberouette, a certified guide since 2012, the business draws on more than 15 years of international fishing experience and serves anglers of different experience levels.

CaptaineJ offers two main experiences. From June to November, guests can join a full-day, eight-to-ten-hour trip targeting bluefin tuna. Year-round, five-hour multi-species outings focus on seasonal catches such as sea bass, gilthead bream, common dentex and hake. Trips depart from the Bayonne area, with Anglet, Biarritz and the wider Basque Coast among the locations highlighted.

Fishing takes place aboard a 7.2-metre Cobia equipped with a 250-horsepower Yamaha engine, a 100-litre livewell and Daiwa fishing tackle. The service combines guided instruction, technical expertise and time on the water, with equipment and boat details available to prospective guests. CaptaineJ also provides booking and contact information for arranging a fishing trip.
