Hooked On Salmon Fishing Charters is a New England fishing charter business owned and operated by Captain Matty Groves, who has more than 20 years of experience fishing the region’s saltwater coast and freshwater lakes. Based in New Hampshire and serving locations in Massachusetts and New York, the business offers guided freshwater and saltwater trips for anglers of varying experience levels.

Freshwater charters target landlocked salmon and trout on Lake Winnipesaukee and in the Lake Ontario area near Oswego and Pulaski. Saltwater trips pursue striped bass and tuna around Newburyport, the Merrimack River, and the open ocean. Options include trips of different lengths, group sizes, and destinations, with packages that can be customized to suit guests’ needs.

Captain Matty provides the fishing equipment and tackle. Charters operate aboard licensed boats, including a 23-foot Sea-Fox and a 23-foot Regulator center console, each suited to groups of four or five anglers. Captain Groves is a New Hampshire-licensed guide, USCG-certified, and fully insured.
