About Canadian Association of Radiologists
The Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) is the national specialty society for radiologists in Canada. With a mission to be the national voice for medical imaging excellence in patient care, CAR is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of patient care, lifelong learning, research, and advocating for the best health care for patients. Serving as the national voice for radiologists, CAR empowers its members to be more successful in their practices through education, research, and innovation.
As a recognized leader in education, research, and innovation in radiology, CAR provides world-class resources to its members, enabling them to excel in their profession. The organization is particularly active on three fronts: patient care, advocacy, and education. CAR collaborates with governments, health professionals, and technology leaders to ensure optimal use of medical imaging and timely tests for patients.
They also serve as the voice of Canadian radiology, informing governments, the public, and the media about the benefits, challenges, and proposed solutions in medical imaging. CAR creates, accredits, and promotes opportunities for continuing professional development, research, and helps radiologists stay at the forefront of medical imaging healthcare
