Carabidae of the World is a dedicated online platform aimed at enhancing global biodiversity awareness through the comprehensive study of ground beetles, scientifically known as Carabidae. Established in 2005 as part of the entomological site Paganel-net, this initiative led by Alexandre Anichtchenko serves as a vital resource for researchers, students, and museums. The platform offers a wealth of up-to-date taxonomic information, including checklists, distribution maps, images of various beetle species, and accessible literature.

Contributors, ranging from professional researchers to amateur enthusiasts, are encouraged to share their findings, including scientific papers, illustrations, and images of both adult and immature specimens. These collaborative efforts aim to bolster the dissemination of scientific knowledge and promote research in global biodiversity. By supporting Carabidae of the World, users can help sustain its mission of providing valuable scientific resources and increasing awareness of the importance of ground beetles in ecosystems around the globe
