Carakas

Carakas Surf School is a surf school based in Montalivet, in the Médoc, sharing its passion for surfing since 2005. Its team offers lessons for all levels, from beginners to experienced surfers, with options for small groups and private instruction. Lessons are designed to help participants progress at their own pace, build confidence, understand the ocean and enjoy the waves in a supportive, safety-conscious environment. Children and adults are welcome.

The school also provides surfboard and wetsuit rentals, with equipment suited to different levels and ready for use near the ocean. Groups, including schools, clubs and friends, can arrange supervised surf sessions or tailor-made stays focused on participation, togetherness and fun. Carakas’s surf shop stocks useful accessories such as wax, leashes and lycras, along with other equipment selected and tested by the team. With a strong emphasis on friendly coaching and shared enjoyment, Carakas Surf School offers visitors several ways to experience surfing in Montalivet, whether through lessons, rentals, group activities or practical gear.
