Carassius is a specialist pet and aquarium shop in Prague’s Dejvice district, established in 1994 by RNDr Antonín Kratochvíl and Petr Mužík. The business is now cared for by Petr Mužík and his son Marek, who draw on long-standing experience to provide knowledgeable service and advice. Its expertise includes freshwater and marine aquariums, with a particular focus on marine aquatics.

The shop offers aquarium fish, plants, live foods, marine animals, and a broad range of supplies for pet owners and animal keepers. Its selection also includes terrarium animals, hand-reared young large parrots, rabbits, and branded premium foods for dogs and cats. Carassius provides consultations and can design, install, and maintain aquariums, terrariums, and paludariums, including complete marine aquarium projects.

Customers can request a project estimate and work schedule, and receive help with animal care and equipment issues. The shop is located at Eliášova 300/6, Prague 6, and is open Monday to Friday, with a midday break
