About Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials
The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) is a global initiative that helps financial institutions measure and disclose greenhouse gas emissions linked to their financial activities. With more than 780 signatories and over 350 disclosures, it brings institutions together to strengthen transparency and accountability across the financial sector.
PCAF provides a standardized framework through the PCAF Standard, covering financed emissions, facilitated emissions, and insurance-associated emissions. Its resources include guidance, webinars and videos, annual reports, regional policy briefings, and the PCAF Database. The organization also offers the PCAF Academy and technical assistance to support institutions in applying its approaches and sharing knowledge.
Financial institutions can join PCAF to access benefits, collaborate with peers, and contribute to a global effort to advance emissions accounting. Its network includes strategic and accredited partners, alongside governance bodies and regional implementation teams. Through its standard, learning resources, partnerships, and knowledge-sharing activities, PCAF supports financial institutions as they assess and disclose the climate impact associated with their financial activities.
