Carbon Recycling International (CRI) is a brand that was founded in Iceland in 2006 with the mission of recycling carbon dioxide emissions by utilizing them to create valuable products. From our headquarters in Reykjavik, we focus on developing and marketing our Emissions-to-Liquids (ETL) process technology, which produces green methanol from captured carbon dioxide emissions and green hydrogen. CRI's ETL process technology enables large-scale utilization of carbon dioxide and/or hydrogen waste streams, offering economic incentives for carbon reduction in industrial manufacturing and power generation. Furthermore, it facilitates energy storage by combining water electrolysis with methanol production. Methanol, produced using CRI's technology, is a versatile and clean-burning fuel with ultra-low carbon intensity, making it a viable solution for the energy transition in mobility and chemical production.
