About CardenasChocolate
Cardenas Chocolate is a brand that celebrates heritage and provenance in the world of chocolate. They take inspiration from the past to create slow chocolate, made in small and micro-batches from carefully selected cacao trees. The brand is deeply committed to preserving and protecting the environment, working directly with local communities of cacao producers, craftsmen, and artisans from four regions of Ecuador.
Founded in 2017 by Susana Cárdenas, the brand's mission is to search for hidden or forgotten "cacao jewels" and bring their glory back to life. They have done extensive research, traveled extensively, and bonded with local communities to find the best flavor in the fermentation process and empower local people.
With their dedication to selecting the finest cacao trees and regenerating vintage cacao plantations, Cardenas Chocolate aims to create the ultimate chocolate experience for connoisseurs. They have received praise and awards from around the world, and their dream is to keep the Ecuadorian heritage alive in every delicious chocolate bar they create.
