Cardiff Athletics

Cardiff Athletics is a long-established athletics club serving athletes of all ages from the Cardiff International Sports Campus athletics stadium. Founded in 1882 as Cardiff Amateur Athletics Club, it describes itself as one of Britain’s leading clubs, with members having earned 142 medals, including 61 gold, at major championships such as the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, and Commonwealth Games.

The club offers opportunities to take part in track and field, cross-country and road running, alongside a Junior Academy with age-group information, term dates and details on costs and joining. Its programme also includes frame running for athletes, supporting participation in a range of ways. Members can access coaching and take part in club events, competitions and other activities, while the website shares news, results, achievements and information about the club’s history and records.

Cardiff Athletics also welcomes people interested in volunteering as athletes, coaches, officials, team managers or committee members.
