Careca Jiu Jitsu

Careca Jiu Jitsu Australia (CJJA) is a family-founded martial arts club in Labrador, Queensland, built around Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a welcoming, close-knit community. The school aims to help students develop not only martial arts skills but also confidence, character, discipline, and connections with others. Its classes cater to children and adults, from beginners to experienced practitioners, in a supportive environment focused on learning and personal growth.

CJJA offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training across age groups and experience levels, including children’s programs for ages 4–6 and 7–10, adult all-levels classes, and dedicated Gi and No-Gi sessions. Children’s classes use structured games and drills to teach safe movement, basic positions, coordination, listening, and sportsmanship, with opportunities to build skills and confidence. Adult No-Gi sessions cover technique, positional control, escapes, and submissions, with partner drills and controlled sparring. A women-only BJJ class welcomes participants from beginners to advanced students and includes technique practice, partner work, and optional sparring. The schedule also features kids’ and adult Muay Thai classes, as well as private BJJ instruction.
