Careca Power is a Portuguese nonprofit association dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer. Founded on 23 March 2018, it grew from a grassroots movement started by women with cancer who wanted to use their experience, knowledge, and compassion to ease the challenges faced by others. Independent of political and religious affiliations, the association emphasizes solidarity, courage, hope, and mutual care.

Careca Power offers opportunities for patients and those who have experienced cancer to connect, discuss questions, and share experiences related to the disease, treatments, symptoms, side effects, and impacts on work, family, and personal life. Its private Facebook community is exclusively for women, providing a supportive space for exchanging ideas and offering peer-to-peer help without judgment or pressure. The association also shares personal testimonials and organizes events, while inviting supporters to contribute and help its work. Through listening, conversation, and shared understanding, Careca Power aims to help people feel less alone during treatment, recovery, and life after loss.
