Espai Mataró Cuida-CareCityLab is a municipal centre in Mataró, created through the city’s Mataró Ciutat Cuidadora initiative. It brings together direct support for residents with research, innovation and knowledge-sharing in social and health care. Its work focuses on improving quality of life for people of any age experiencing frailty, disability or dependency, and for those who care for them.

The centre’s Oficina de Cures provides individual and family guidance on procedures, resources and support, alongside group activities and community initiatives addressing wellbeing, prevention, accessibility and unwanted loneliness. Its Sírius Centre for Personal Autonomy offers advice on assistive products, accessible environments, home adaptations, daily living activities and alternative communication. A demonstration space simulates an accessible home, helping visitors explore practical solutions. The Punt Vincle connects third-sector organisations working in health and care, and supports outreach and collaboration.

Established through cooperation among Mataró City Council and health, social, research and education partners, the centre also supports research and knowledge transfer. Services are available by appointment at its Passeig de la Marina location.
