About Care for Cambodia
Care for Cambodia is a non-governmental organization based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, providing care and educational support in over 40 rural villages. Founded in 1997 by Norman and Fi Teece, along with their Cambodian son Khemera, the organization's primary goal is to empower Cambodians to live with dignity and achieve success. With a focus on transitioning from residential care to community care, Care for Cambodia employs local staff and mentors to support the community in line with its vision statement.
Initially focused on crafting and selling goods to support widows and vulnerable families, the organization later started caring for orphans and abandoned children in 2000, transitioning away from residential care in 2012. Today, Care for Cambodia continues its impactful work through community-based projects, reaching thousands of children, youth, and families daily. With over 70 dedicated staff and volunteers, the organization remains committed to its mission of supporting Cambodians in need.
