Care-OS Health

CareOS is an electronic health record software brand developing on-device clinical documentation for residential care and board-and-care facilities. Its goal is to help care teams spend less time navigating paperwork and more time caring for residents. The V3.3.1 alpha runs locally on a facility-owned PC, with purpose-built med-cart kiosk hardware planned for future deployment.

The current system brings medication administration, shift notes, and a shift overview together. Its eMAR supports priority tags for time-critical medications, overdue flags, and controlled-substance detection. Staff can record notes, vitals, and elimination activity, while the CareBoard surfaces alerts, reminders, resident census information, and timers. Role-specific views are available for administrators, nurses, and caregivers, alongside care plans, face sheets, encrypted exports, and built-in support.

CareOS is designed to work without internet, with data encrypted on facility-controlled hardware rather than stored in a CareOS cloud. The product is in alpha testing and does not claim HIPAA compliance. The company also offers walkthroughs and a free, on-site paper-MAR workflow audit, including a written risk-ranked report.
