Caretta Die Schwimmakademie

Caretta Schwimmakademie is a swimming school based in Grünwald, serving families in Munich and the surrounding area. Its courses help babies, children and adults build swimming skills in a calm, encouraging environment, with an emphasis on courage, confidence and safety in the water. Baby swimming introduces children aged three to fifteen months to the water through gentle, playful activities alongside a parent. For children aged three and up, beginner classes teach foundational skills such as floating, gliding and propulsion; subsequent courses introduce a first swimming style, strengthen technique and endurance, and develop front-crawl skills. Adults can also take front-crawl lessons for beginners and more experienced swimmers.

Caretta’s wasserstark method goes beyond swimming tests: children practise staying calm, assessing situations and acting confidently in unfamiliar or challenging water. Courses prepare children for Seepferdchen and bronze, silver and gold swimming awards. The academy offers classes at the Grünwalder Freizeitpark and also promotes a mobile swimming-course service. Its approach makes learning an engaging experience while helping participants become safer and more self-assured swimmers.
