Escuela de Sumi-e Carina Gulio is an online and in-person school dedicated to sumi-e, the traditional art of East Asian ink painting. Led by artist and teacher Carina Gulio, the school presents painting as both an artistic practice and a path of meditation, contemplation, and self-discovery. Its approach combines traditional technique with relaxation and mindfulness practices, welcoming beginners and experienced students alike.

Courses cover subjects including introductory sumi-e, dragons, pine trees, sakura, koi fish, birds, lotus flowers, landscapes, and the Four Noble Gentlemen. Live online programs also explore painting from personal expression, seasonal themes such as bamboo, and the traditional mounting of paintings as kakemono scrolls. The school offers in-person learning and retreats, alongside online classes and a virtual classroom.
