About Caring4Cough
Caring4Cough is a brand dedicated to bringing awareness and solutions to the impact of chronic cough in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Chronic cough in IPF is not just a symptom; it significantly affects patients' quality of life and can potentially worsen the disease. Up to 85% of IPF patients experience chronic cough, which is often severe and difficult to treat, making it a burden for healthcare professionals.
Unfortunately, there are currently no approved treatment options specifically for chronic cough in IPF. Conventional antitussive therapies frequently fail to alleviate the symptoms. Cough in IPF is characterized by its severity, ease of triggering, dryness, and non-productiveness.
