About Caring for Denver Foundation
Caring for Denver Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 2018 through a ballot initiative aimed at addressing the mental health and substance misuse needs of the Denver community. By funding solutions and dismantling stigma, the foundation strives to create a vibrant Denver where all communities have access to the necessary support. For every $100 spent in Denver, 25 cents goes towards mental health and substance misuse initiatives.
The foundation values inclusivity, diversity, and respect, and is committed to being representative, culturally responsive, and linguistically appropriate in all its endeavors. They prioritize community impact, advocating for mental health and substance misuse awareness, and invite partnerships to identify and address the needs of the communities they serve. For crisis support, they offer free, confidential, professional assistance through the Colorado Crisis Line and Crisis Text Line.
