About Caritas Schweiz
Caritas Schweiz is committed to creating a world without poverty. Established in 1901, Caritas has dedicated itself to preventing, combating, and alleviating poverty worldwide. They offer a variety of programs and services to achieve this goal, including support for people living in poverty, debt counseling, and global projects aimed at reducing poverty and promoting human rights.
In Switzerland, Caritas helps over 149,000 people access cultural and sporting activities through the KulturLegi program and provides debt counseling to 4,071 individuals. Additionally, they have implemented 118 projects globally, directly benefitting 804,000 individuals in 2022. Their projects range from establishing Blue Schools in Cambodia to protecting the Amazon rainforest in Bolivia and promoting the rights of migrating children in Mali.
