Caritas Care

Caritas Care is a charity supporting children, families and communities across Lancashire and the North West. With more than 90 years of experience, it works to help people overcome barriers, make choices and pursue the lives and goals they want. Its approach is person-centred, grounded in dignity, respect and compassion, with practical guidance tailored to individual needs and aspirations.

The charity offers adoption and fostering services, helping children find supportive families and providing guidance to prospective and existing adopters and foster carers. It also supports adults with learning disabilities through services including Vision in People (VIP), The FX day service and supported living, helping people build skills and independence. For people experiencing homelessness, Caritas Care provides housing support. Its community work includes Plungington Community Centre, which offers activities, a community café and room hire, creating welcoming opportunities for people to connect. Across its services, Caritas Care aims to reduce isolation, strengthen communities and ensure that people of different backgrounds have opportunities to thrive.
