Carla van Wensen’s Kind in evenwicht® is a practice for integrative child therapy and professional education, focused on understanding the body language behind children’s behavior and physical complaints. The practice helps care, health, youth and family, and education professionals explore how protective reflexes, movement patterns, stress, trauma and attachment difficulties may affect children, young people and young adults. Its approach is holistic and body-oriented: rather than relying only on words, it considers what the body and behavior communicate and how appropriate support can help restore calm and safety.

Kind in evenwicht offers courses for paramedical and body-oriented practitioners, youth and family professionals, and other teams, as well as in-company training, workshops, lectures and study days. Topics include reflexes, stress and behavior, kinesiology, and the body-based integration of emotions. Carla also publishes books for children, including Help… ik voel zo veel! Part 2: Alarm in je lijf, which uses stories, metaphors and playful exercises to explain bodily stress responses and support greater understanding and calm.
