About Carlier Gebauer
With a focus on international contemporary art, the gallery represents over 30 artists who explore aesthetics and conceptual research in a variety of artistic mediums including sculpture, installation, film, photography, painting, and drawing. Rejecting a specific theoretical framework, carlier | gebauer provides a professional space for their artists to experiment, resulting in a diverse spectrum of artistic positions. The gallery's spacious exhibition space in Markgrafenstrasse allows for the display of large-scale installations in a museum-like setting.
In addition to its Berlin location, the gallery has also expanded to Madrid. Recognized as a key platform for artists' development, carlier | gebauer has produced crucial exhibitions for many of their artists, who have gone on to participate in major biennials, international exhibitions, and solo shows in prominent museums worldwide
