Carl's Classic Comics

Carl’s Classic Comics is a Fort Smith-based comic supplier serving retail customers and businesses across the Arkansas River Valley. The company specializes in high-quality classic comics rather than new releases, along with trade paperbacks, action figures, game cards, and other collectibles. Its comics are kept in great condition, sealed, and often boarded, and retail prices are based on list price or book value.

Carl’s Classic Comics does not operate a standalone store. Instead, customers can find its products at microstores inside BrickCity Emporium in Fort Smith and Fisher’s in Van Buren, which are run by those businesses’ staff. Carl also brings comics directly to participating stores by setting up product displays and refreshing their selections.

Retail partners can choose between two arrangements. Under the consignment plan, Carl replaces unsold comics during return visits, and the store pays half the comic’s price. Under the wholesale plan, stores order monthly replenishments, pay upon receipt, and can receive credit for returned unsold comics.
