About Carlyon Funeral Directors
Carlyon Funeral Directors is an independent, family-run business based in Mount Hawke, Cornwall, serving families across the county 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Guided by kindness, integrity and respect, the team provides professional, personal support before, during and after a bereavement. Its private mortuary and chapel of rest adjoin the family home, and the company says loved ones in its care are never left alone.
Carlyon arranges a complete range of funerals, including cremations and burials, traditional and modern services, religious and non-religious ceremonies, private funerals, woodland burials and eco-friendly options such as biodegradable bamboo coffins. Families can personalise each service with choices including music, eulogies, orders of service, coffins and caskets, and horse-drawn hearses. The team also offers memorial renovation and guidance on what to do after a death, helping families make arrangements at their own pace. Carlyon aims to create a fitting tribute that reflects each person’s life and honours family wishes.
