About British Carmelites
British Carmelites is a vibrant and inclusive community dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, particularly among young adults. In 2025, they will host the Carmelite European Young Adults Jubilee Pilgrimage to Rome, inviting individuals aged 18 to 35 to embark on a transformative journey as 'Pilgrims of Hope. ' Participants will gather at the tranquil Istituto Madonna del Carmine, engaging in reflective sessions, prayer, and communal experiences that deepen their understanding of Carmelite spirituality.
The pilgrimage includes two enriching days in Sassone followed by two days celebrating the Jubilee in Rome, culminating in a Sunday Eucharist at St. Peter’s with Pope Francis and fellow pilgrims from around the globe. The program is thoughtfully designed to create a supportive community atmosphere, encouraging exploration of Carmelite teachings while fostering lasting connections between participants.
