Carnaval de Sines is a Portuguese Carnival celebration that brings local traditions, lively entertainment and community spirit together in the coastal city of Sines. Organised and produced by the Associação de Carnaval de Sines, the event honours the country’s Entrudo customs while welcoming residents and visitors to take part in a multi-day programme. Activities include carnival parades, a children’s carnival, the arrival of the Carnival Kings, senior and general masked balls, live music and an illuminated parade with fireworks. The festivities conclude with the traditional Enterro do Entrudo, staged through the streets of Sines with support from local organisers and performers.

Carnaval de Sines also provides practical ways to join the celebration. Visitors can consult the programme and event news, use the festival app, and purchase tickets through the online shop or usual outlets. Ticket options include daily and multi-day passes, individual entries for parades or dances, and a free-pass option; special conditions apply for association members, and children up to and including age 12 enter free.
