About Toowoomba
Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is an annual spring celebration held across Toowoomba and surrounding areas in Queensland, usually from September into early October. First staged in 1949, the Carnival brings the region to life with floral displays, community events and activities for visitors of all ages. Its 2026 program runs from 18 September to 5 October, featuring more than 80 events across three weekends.
Visitors can explore the flower displays at Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park, with free entry to the feature public-park displays. The program also includes the Grand Central Floral Parade, garden and twilight tours, food experiences such as FEASTival and Weekend Table, live entertainment, family activities and the Paw Parade. Some signature events, tours and private garden visits require tickets.
The Carnival offers practical visitor information on accessibility, pet-friendly locations, accommodation, dining and travel to Toowoomba. Leashed dogs are welcome in most public parks, while access and pet rules vary by venue and event.
