About CARO
CARO, or the Canadian Association of Radiation Oncology, is the leading voice for Radiation Oncology in Canada. Comprised of Radiation Oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists, CARO promotes and supports the delivery of quality care in the treatment of cancer through radiotherapy.
As a national association, CARO plays a crucial role in professional and development training for its practitioners, public education and awareness, and collaboration with other healthcare disciplines. They also offer various resources and tools, such as clinical guidelines and education courses, to support the advancement of radiation oncology.
CARO organizes annual scientific meetings and webinars, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking for professionals in the field. They also offer career opportunities and fellowships in radiation oncology, contributing to the growth and development of the profession.
