Carolina Cognitive

Carolina Cognitive is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinic in Beaufort, South Carolina, serving individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. The clinic’s mission is to provide high-quality, effective, individualized care in a supportive environment for clients and their families. Its child-centered, consent-based approach uses evidence-based interventions and looks for opportunities to teach through play and preferred activities.

Services include Skills Based Training, Balance Family Training, Discrete Trial Teaching, and Functional Communication training. Sessions are delivered one-to-one by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), with programs tailored to each client’s treatment plan and progress tracked toward individual goals. Carolina Cognitive also emphasizes family participation, including regular caregiver collaboration and coaching to help support skills at home.

Families can begin with a medical provider’s referral, followed by intake paperwork, a parent interview, and assessment planning. The clinic accepts Tricare, BCBS, Medicaid-Healthy Connections, and TEFRA, and offers private-pay options.
