Carolina Ice Palace is a year-round ice sports and recreation facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Opened in 1997, it features two NHL-sized ice rinks, a full-service pro shop, meeting and event rooms, concessions, and the Penalty Box Bar & Grill. The venue hosts hockey tournaments, figure skating competitions, and other ice events, and serves as the official practice facility of the South Carolina Stingrays. It is also home to local hockey, figure skating, and curling organizations.
The Palace offers public skating and programs for beginners and experienced participants. Its activities include Learn to Skate classes, skating camps, figure skating, youth and adult hockey, hockey camps and clinics, and an adult hockey league. Learn to Play Hockey introduces children and teens to the sport, while Little Rays develops foundational skating and hockey skills for ages four to nine. Visitors can also book birthday parties, arrange private or semi-private skating lessons with coaches, or host meetings in the facility’s event spaces.
