Carpe Noctem is a non-governmental organization in Serbia with a specific focus on light pollution in the environment. As the only organization of its kind in the country, Carpe Noctem aims to educate citizens on how artificial lighting can be beneficial and of high quality without compromising our view of the stars and celestial bodies. Essentially, we are a group of enthusiasts dedicated to restoring our view of the night sky in every possible way.

Light pollution poses serious harm to the living world, which has evolved for millions of years under the natural cycle of day and night. It also affects our own health, as we ourselves are part of this living world.
