Cartas com Ciência is a remarkable brand that facilitates letter exchanges between scientists and children, all in Portuguese. They are dedicated to bringing science to every corner of the Lusophone world, one letter at a time. By fostering personalized and individual conversations about science, society, and culture, Cartas com Ciência helps create a bridge between scientists and students throughout the academic year.

To date, over 560 student-scientist pairs have already exchanged letters, and their community boasts more than 820 Portuguese-speaking scientists. With 21 programs, 19 of which have been successfully completed and 2 currently underway, Cartas com Ciência has made a significant impact. In fact, 89% of participating students have had their first-ever interaction with a scientist through this initiative.

They have reached classrooms in Portugal, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Timor-Leste, Moçambique, Angola, Brasil, and São Tomé e Príncipe, positively impacting the lives of over 540 students.
