The World of Cartyrion is a fantasy role-playing campaign setting created by Bob O’Brien and presented through World Anvil, a community and toolkit for worldbuilders, authors, and game storytellers. Designed to support a wide range of high-fantasy adventures and compatible with any rules system, Cartyrion features enchanted woodlands, frontier settlements, ancient ruins, bustling cities, political intrigue, and seafaring pirates. Its setting materials are being developed as the world’s history, cultures, and geography take shape.

Current and planned offerings include the Laurels & Loot Fantasy RPG rules, an old-school-inspired system intended to be quick to learn and focused on exciting character exploits; a character creation guide covering playable races, cultures, backgrounds, and classes; and adventures set in the Feywood region. The Feywood campaign is planned for characters from levels one through five. Additional projects include a rules compendium, a guide to the world’s deities and cosmology, and a world atlas. Interactive maps, regional locations, discussion boards, and ongoing setting updates invite players and game masters to explore Cartyrion and follow its development.
