CCCA – Carvoeiro Cat Charity Associação is a registered Portuguese non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of stray and abandoned cats in Lagoa and the wider Algarve region. Since 2013, the association has worked to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats, guided by the belief that every cat deserves a loving home. Its services include adoption support, medical care, neutering and treatment, and assistance for people who have found a stray cat. CCCA also shares information about its work, events, volunteering opportunities and association documents.

The charity relies on donations and community involvement to fund ongoing care. Supporters can become annual members or monthly sponsors, contribute to its work, volunteer, or take part in events. CCCA reports rescuing 135 cats, successfully rehoming 45 and neutering or treating 219; it also notes more than 80 blood donations within the last 90 days. Based in Lagoa, the association connects supporters with ways to help vulnerable cats across the Algarve.
