Casa da Família – Associação de Solidariedade Social do Acipreste is a Portuguese social solidarity institution founded on 20 January 1994. Based in Acipreste, in the municipality of Alcobaça, it supports older people through day care and home support services, with a focus on active, healthy ageing and helping people remain in their family and social surroundings.
Its day centre provides meals, activities, occupational therapy, transport, personal hygiene assistance and laundry for personal clothing. Home support includes meal delivery for lunch, snacks and dinner, personal hygiene, laundry, household cleaning and social activities. Occupational therapy addresses both psychological and physical needs and is included in the stated monthly fee.
The association also highlights companionship and reassurance for families, helping ensure that older relatives are accompanied and cared for. Casa da Família operates from Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. It invites the public to contribute through donations in support of its work. The organisation can be contacted by telephone or email for information about its services.
