Casa de Outeiro is a prestigious Quiroga winery located in Ribeira Sacra. Our goal is to become a renowned and respected brand in the industry. The project originated with the Maseda Fole family in 2019 when Mercedes, the heir of Casa de Outeiro, entrusted us with a promise: to rebuild the historic Casa and its six centuries of history. This promise is our present and future. We embarked on the construction and planting of 24 hectares of vineyards within the 32-hectare estate of Casa de Outeiro. It took nearly two years to complete, finishing in the first half of 2021.

During this time, we made important decisions to add value to our project. We hired two exceptional winemakers, Mauricio Lorca and David Pascual, who have extensive experience and expertise in producing high-quality wines. We also found a nearby winery, Lar de Ricobao, to produce our first wines. Additionally, we selected the best local viticulturists and formed a team of passionate individuals who share our vision.

Our brand, Casa de Outeiro, represents our love and passion for our land, showcasing fresh and light wines that reflect the essence of Quiroga and Ribeira Sacra. We also have the Escudo range, which pays homage to the heraldic shield of Casa de Outeiro, offering wines of complexity and strength. Lastly, our Histórico range is a tribute to the history of Casa de Outeiro, featuring our finest wines made from selected vineyards and aged to perfection.

Situated halfway up the valley of Quiroga, Casa de Outeiro spans 32 hectares of diverse terroirs, including slate, clay, quartzite, and loamy soils. This allows us to create wines with unique profiles. Visitors can also explore the historic Casa and the vineyards, which have been passed down through generations since 1488.
